Adelaide, August S. The Australian Football Council decided that at least £IOO be spent during each of the next three years for propaganda work. New Zealand’s share is £SO annually. Poverty Bay Rugby Union passed a resolution urging the Now Zealand Union, in accordance with rule G of the conditions governing the Ranfurly Shield match, immediately to fix a date for the challenge match Poverty Bay v. Auckland. Members expressed indignation at the manner in which their challenge, sent in three or four months ago, had boon ignored and a date given for a match with the South Auckland Rugby Union : n preference to theirs.

The team'are in splendid condition, and have been training carefully. The backs are all fast, clever players, and are capable of giving a fine exposition of Rugby as it should lie played.
