JUG H COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. (Per Press Association ) Wellington, July 31. Following is the High Commissioner’s cablegram dated London, July 20th The quotations, unless otherwise specific.’, are average market prices on spot. Motion.—No alteration in the market since last week. The weather is too dry. Canterbury 3;|d, North Island 3id. ’ Lamb.—Better demand. Canterbury •3d, other than Canterbury J;,'d, River Plate J|. Beef.—The market is very dull and there is scarcely any demand. River Plato chilled is in largo supply. It is reported that drilled beef has been stored and frozen. New Zealand hinds 3-Jd, fores 2jd. Butter.—'fire market is firm with a hardening tendency on account of drought. Australian 112 s, Danish 1225, Siberian 110 s, New Zealand (second class quality, stored) 108 s. Cheese.—The market is steady with very good demand at last quotations. Coloured Gls, white 60s. Kemp.—The market is very quiet and there is nothing doing. New Zealand good fair on spot £2l, fair grade £2O, fair current Manila £2l, JniySeptembor £2l. The output from Manila for the week was 23,000 bales. Cocksfoot seed.—The market is dull, but holders are firm for New Zealand seed. On account of the small supply i cannot quote. Continental and American crops are reported heavy and of good quality.
