A CLERK’S REVENGE.

STARTS HUGE FIRE. Vienna, July 29. Schottek, a clerk who was dismissed for drunkenness, as a revenge fired a groat stack of timber at the Norheru Railway Station. A huge conflagration ensued, and 600 firemen, 3000 police, and 2000 railwaymen fought the flames for eighteen hours, and prevented them igniting a warehouse containing 2000 tons of benzine. Schottek was arrested. Timber to the value of £50,000 was destroyed.
