i RH.’SK OK REPRESENTATIVES. FRIDAY, JULY' 28, 1911. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, July 28. The House of Representatives mei at 2.30 p.m. Fourteen days’’ leave was granted to Mr Heaton Rhodes (Ellesmere). Government Bills as follows were read a first time :—Town Planning, Pharmacy Amendment, Friendly Societies Amendment, Shipping and Seamens Amendment, Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration, Workers’ Compensation Amendment, Administration Amendment. The Gaming Bill (Mr W. Jennings, Taumarunui) and the Hereditary Titles Prevention Bill (Mr Newman, Manawatu) were also read a first time. Prior to the House going into Committee of Supply, for discussion of an Imprest Bill, Mr Massey asked that as little discussion as possible take place oil the Bill to enable the House to honour the memory of a deceased member. Sir James Carroll, Acting-Premier, stated lie had intended to move in this direction. He agreed that the discussion should be limited to the leaders on both sides. An Imprest Supply Bill, amounting to £721,400, was then passed through all its stages without discussion.
