o (Per Press Association A Auckland, July 27. A farmer named Frederick Candwell, who resided at Wade, dropped dead in his house this morning. Candwell was in good health generally, and the cause of his death is not known. Ashburton, July 27. David Stoh r, an old and respected resident of Methuen, accidentally shot himself this morning while out shooting sparrows. He was found by neighbours with a frightful wound in his head. Death must have been instantaneous.
