AMUSEMENTS.

o —— HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. A good audience greeted the change of programme at His Majesty’s Theatre last night. Among the dramas, “The Toreador” and “Uatalina“ were especially well acted, and “A ShowGirl’s Stratagem” was rich in emotional interest. “The Romance of Bar 0” was also well received. In the scenic section “A Visit to Milan Cathedral” stood out by itself, the pictures shown giving an .excellent idea of the marvellous- architecture of the structure. A highly novel picture was “A Trip in a Balloon,” and the Warwick Chronicle contained the usual excellent assortment of topical events. The comic pictures—“ Winning a Widow,” “Tontolini in Love,” “Friscuit Drinks Horse Embrocation,” and “Tweedledum, Detective”—were, as usual, well received. The programme will bo continued to-night and to-morrow night. On Saturday afternoon a free matinee will be given for children under twelve escorted by their parents. WEST’S PICTURES. At the Town Hall last evening West’s Pictures were again screened before a fair audience. A fine selection of films was shown, the principal one being “Scones of New Zealand,” repeated by special request. An outstanding feature was the comic number, “Pleasures of a Country House.” which caused much amusement. _ “A. Large Fire in Moscow.” “The Price of Victory,” and “Tho Silent Message,” were highly exciting dramas. An entirely new programme will be submitted next Thursday night, CORONATION SKATING RINK.' A most enjoyable time was spent at this rink last evening, the polo match ladies v. gentlemen being particularly interesting, the score being ladies 3, gentlemen 4. For the winners of the potato races a postcard album was presented to the lady and a silver medal to the gent. Tho rink will be open every afternoon and evening except Monday, JnH 31, when the Coronation dance will be held, particulars of which appear in our advertising columns.
