(Per Press Association.) Waihi, ■ July 26. The dispute between tiie minors and companies i dative to the payment of winning .engineers was' discussed last night at,,a! mass meeting. On tiie advice of the Federation a ballot was tak(jn as to whether the agreement, which was the outcome of the recent conference; should be rejected or signed.- The ballot resulted in favour of signing by a majority of 98 out of 879..' •’
Mi; P; H. Hick-ey (Blackball) was chosen by the meeting as the workers’ candidate for Ohinemiui at the general .election.
