The British Empire League, at a meeting, after strong speeches laid been delivered, decided to cable to London emphatically repudiating, the allegation of disloyalty against the Australian people. It was decided to arrange a demonstration cf piotost. Several Labour members condemned Mr Fisher’s utterances. Melbourne, July 25. Mr Hughes (Acting Prime Minister) says that he would like to sec the full text of Mr Fisher’s remarks. He feels very sure that it will be found upon enquiry that Mr I islier s views wore quite other than those which the disjointed fragments cabled out would have them believe.

London, July 25. The newspapers publish Australian cablegrams expressing astonishment at Mr Fisher’s interview. All the newspapers are printing extracts of the interview.
