JUDGE AND POLITICIAN.

i Melbourne, July 24. In the Commonwealth Arbitration Court Mr Justice Higgins made a slashing reply to Mr Waddell’s recent criticisms in the Assembly. Mr Justice Higgins declared, amongst other things, that Mr Waddell said he was not a just judge, and there was no man who had < vei disgraced his position more. Another charge that he took a hand in a party fight in connection with the Federal referenda, Mr Justice Higgins declared to be utterly and absolutely false.
