Aldershot is devastated, a thousand acres being ablaze, and Bannock Chase, a historic mansion, has been destroyed. INTENSE HEAT IN GERMANY. MANY FATALITIES. Berlin, July 24. There have been eight days of intense heat, the thermometer registering 104 deg. in the shade on Sunday. Throughout Grrnany many fatalities have occurred. Ninety-six grenadiers were overcome during a parade, and many were taken to tho hospital. HEAT AND HAIL. GREAT DAMAGE IN ITALY. Rome, July 24. While the thermometer registmed 91 deg. shade temperature, a tremendous hailstorm occurred. Pa t oi tho zinc roof of a railway station was torn off, and a column of “Victory” in tho Exhibition Grounds collansod.
