HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT (Per Press Association.) Wellington, July 24. The High Commissioner cables under data London, July 22nd:— The mutton trade for all classes has been very slow, and prices tire barely maintained. The lamb market is weak, with less demand.

The beef market is dull. The weather lately has been unfavourable to the sale of beef. The butter market is very firm. There is considerable speculation, as the weather is too dry. Choicest New Zealand 112 s, Australian 108 s, Danish 121 s, Siberian 107 s. The cheese market is firm, with a goood demand. Coloured 61s, white 60s. The wool market remains firm.
