NORTHERN ASSOCIATION. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, July 18. The council of the Northern Bowling Association to-night granted the application for affiliation of the Kakaka Club (Nelson) The councilconsidered a letter from the Auckland Provincial Association stating that the. members of its ass mate! chibs desired to tour the No-tii Island next season. Doubt was exo 1 issc i as' to •he wisdom of recognis'ng the Auckland provincial centre as t'. o controlling body, and the association decided co signify their approval of the tour and refer the Auckland Asso' ialion to the various -labs a> to anang’ng a programme. The council concurred in suggestion to h >ll a conieiemv in August to consider the amalgamation of the Auckland, Northern and New Zealand Associations, and appomted Messrs A. S. Keith, M. Casey (Auckland), and h. Bush (Wellington) delegates, with power to add m the event of the New Zealand Association sending more than two delegates. It was understood that t.ne conference night ho held in Christchurch or Wellington.
