CORRESPONDENCE.
STRAY STOCK.
(To the Editor “Stratford Post.”) Sir, —As the editor of a newspaper is supposed to know so much, perhaps you could kindly inform me through the columns of your valuable paper re the following:— ls it a fact that the Stratford County Council has leased the grazing rignta over the roads of the West Riding to teamsters from other Counties ? If a horse ox* a cow belonging to a ratepayer happens bv any mischance to get left on a x'oacT for a few minutes, it is quickly taken in charge by the Ranger, anl yet on a dark night it is quite unsafe to travel those roads at itfbre than a walking pace for fear of running up against a horse or a wor king-bullock. If the County roads are to be let for grazing purposes, would it not be fairer to let them by “tender” so that we could all get a chance of a “nibble”? Thanking you, Sir, in anticipation.— I am, etc., NEW CHUM. Mahoe, July 15th, 1911.
