(Per Press Association ) Wellington July !7. The Court of Convocanm of the A ltd die University disvn.t held a sr ecu'. 1 meeting to-night to consider several points referred to the court by the Senate cf the New Zealand University iu connection with the reconstruction of courses for arts and science degrees. It was resolved that for the B.A. and B.Sc. pass degree there be substituted a B.A. pass degree, leading to the M.Sc. degree on the arts side. It was also resolved that if B.A. and B.Sc. degress ho amalgamated no special pass degree be given in science; that it is desirable that the course adopted ho approved by the Professorial Board; that no subject should re compulsory for a B.A. degree, except in so far as compulsion is necessary for a homogeneous course; that the conference urges on th? Senate tie desirability of holding a conference to deal with details of arts and science courses.
