HOME RULE ENVOYS.
(Per Press Association j Wellington, Jnly 15. Messrs Redmond and Donovan, the Irish envoys, arrived in Wellington this morning, and leave to-morrow for Taranaki. They will hold meetings at Manaia on Monday (to-day), and at Opunake on Tuesday. The envoys have postponed their departure from New Zealand from July 1 to July 23, when they leave for Sydney en route to Queensland. Gisborne, July 15. Mr R. Hazelton, M.P., one of the Irish envoys, arrived hero on Saturday morning, and was accorded a civic reception. In the afternoon he was at home at the Gisborne Hotel, and received a largo number of friends and sympathisers of the Homo Rule movement. In the evening Mr Hazelton addressed a large gathering, giving a stirring speech. Today there was an informal reception at the Mayor’s residence, and the visitor sailed again for the south in the evening. Over £2OO has been collected in this district in aid of the funds of the movement. Mr Hazelton paid a high tribute to the press of New Zealand for the generous support accorded to the delegates.
