The Council of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce unis’afternoon considered the p.oyosal of the \Vollington Chamber tuat Wellington should be made the distributing port for tlio Suez mail, the proposal being that the mail should arrive at Wellington from Sydney on Friday morning and be forthwith distributed throughout the .Dominion. On the motion of the president (Mr Loo Myers), it was unanimously resolved to approve of the proposal provided that it does not interfere with the present weekly service between Auckland and Sydney.
