(Per Press Association 1 Gisborne, July 15. Whilst a travelling, crane weighing y tons 17 cwt. was being lifted from f o hold of the steamer Ripple, the chain by which it was suspended from the arm of the wharf crane broke, aid if diapped several f.-at on top ol i lit framework of l.n;;:. W A locomotive consigned to tho Railway Department. The extent of the damage to the latter has not yet been ascertained.
