CHILD EMIGRATION.
Ti London, July 7. . Sir James Crichton-Browne, presiding at a mooting in support of the j Chile! Emigration Society, which deals with those children under tho Poor Law Guardians, rotnarked that, by medical selection, children could he sent out with absolute confidence and become a very valuable asset to the dominions. The colonies had waste' lands, and Britain had waste human beings. Let them be brought together for tho Empire’s good. Mr Whalley, organising secretary, stated that West Australia was willing to share the cost of the scheme.
