THE DOMINION DAIRY SHOW.
(To The Editor, “Stratford Post.”) Sir, —In your excellent ) report of the above Show, and in your local refer ring to my remarks re ensilage, you are slightly incorrect in one matter —or quite likely in the course of my speech I did not express myself ,;s clearly as I should have done. The lion. T. Mackenzie, the Minister for Agriculture, deserves all the credit of initiating the competition for ensil ige; wo merely carried out his recommendation successfully. I wished, in referring to our efforts, to point out that we are willing and anxious to do anything we can to further useful competitions, to accept hints and suggestions, and in the class for ensilage, we voted at once a substantial prize,, and I am pleased to say there wt-ro thirty-five exhibits in the class. Thanking you for the interest you have taken in the Show, and also thanking your town and district for tho splendid support given to the Show, 1 remain, etc., — A. W. GILLIES, President. Hawera, July 7, 1911.
