Two prospectors named Kingsley and Olds, Globe Creek, Arizona, were arrested on a charge of murdering sisters named Goswick, daughters of Olds’ mining partner. The girls were drowned in Salt River. Olds was incarcerated in the county gaol, and during the night an unknown person entered tho courthouse, a short distance from the gaol, and fired at Olds cell, killing him instantly. The murderer escaped. A gun was found.
