FINDING OF THE COURT. ('Per Press Association.) Wanganui, July 4. The .finding of the Nautical Court into the recent stranding of the barquentino Pelotas at the month of the Wanganui River on June X2th was delivered this morning. The Court found that the accident was due to an unexpected fresh in the river, of which no warning had been sent to the pilot, and the insufficient power under these circumstances of the lighter which was towing the Pelotas. I lie certificates of all the officers were returned. No order was made as to costs, and no blame was attached to the pilot or Harbour Board, but it was recommended that in future advice re floods up the river should ho sent to the pilot.
