THUNDERBOLT. HIS MAJESTY’S, TO-NIGHT. At His Majesty’s Theatre this evening the sensational !( film . “Thunderbolt” will be shown' for the first, time in Stratford. When shown in Wellington recently, tjie picture created much interest. The.film is three thousand feet long, and deals with hushranging life in an entertaining manner. In addition to the “star” nicture the usual selection of general pictures will be shown. \ ' WEST’S PICTURES'. The Grand National Steeplechase will be shown without fail next Thursday evening. This is the finest race picture ever taken. The excitement starts at the first hurdle, and continues throughout the whole race. Everyone’who sees it votes it a fine picture. The opening of the Great Coronation Exhibition at Wellington by His Excellency the Governor gives a good idea to those who have not seen the Exhibition, and what a large affair it is, The pictures takes one through, everything connected with the Exhibition, All other films shown are of the best. CORONATION HALL. The first, of the Coronation assemblies took, place last evening, and was very successful, a good number of dancers, being present, all having a most enjoyable time. To-night and following evenings will bo devoted to skating. T A YLOR-C ARRIN G TON MUSICAL COMEDY COMPANY. Amusement seekers will be delighted to learn that the above-named talented company will appear at the Town Hall to-morrow (Wednesday) evening. The astute T.'C. management have forsaken drama and moving pictures for a while to go in for a form of amusement that is evidently quite the rage now. They have purchased several up-to-date farcical and musical comedies, have organised a ‘specially selected company for the proper presentment of the pieces, and arc being rewarded for their enterprise by playing to crowded audiences everywhere. Mr Charlie Tavlbr. as an American judge in “The Girl from Chicago,” is said to ho immensely funny, and in “’Arry and ’Arriet” Miss Carrington plays a coinedy part that causes screams of laughter whenever site is on the stage. The other members of the company are highly spoken of, both with regard to their abilities as fun creators and vocalists, and tiie result is a most enjoyable performance.
