o CARFENTEES’ AWARD. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, July 3. The Arbitration Court’s award in the carpenters dispute provides for a week's work of 45 hours, and a minimum wage of is 4ld an hour. I Kiv.-work is prohibited, except- in respect of stair-building. The union sought to obtain a 40 hours’ week and a minimum of Is Bcl an hour. Most of the terms in the award are, however, based on the provisions of the last award.
