SYDNEY SHEEP SALES.
n HIGH PRICED MERINOS. Sydney, July 3. At the sheep sales there was better competition tnan last year, owing to tire presence of South Africans after good merinos. Sales wore mostly oi Tasmanian sheep, and included a client for a merino ram at 300 guineas. “Tradesman,” the grand champion housed rani sold for 362 guineas, and a year old son of “Baronet” (fifth reserve champion to “Tradesman”) for 410 guineas. ’’Baronet V.” went for 150 guineas. The sheep sales included: Border Leicesters: On-behalf of Mr. Nixon, Canterbury, twelve stud rams, from 3 to G) guineas; Mr. Rennie, Canterbury, seven rams, from 3 to 4 guineas; Mr Dowthowaitho, Waimate, two rams, 25 and 20 guineas respectively; Mr. Anderson, Ashburton, one ram, •8 guineas. Romney Marshes: Mr. Reid, Oamaru, one ram, 20 guineas; Mr. Dowthowaithe, Waimate, five rams, 4 to 5 guineas.
