CANADA AND BRITAIN.
Ottawa, Juno 30. Sir F. Borden, in the course of a campaigning speech, retorted on Mr. Taft’s assertion that Canada’s ties with the Motherland were almost imperceptible, that the Dominion was never closer to Britain, and links were joining both that would never be broken. He did not fear for the loyalty of Canadians, and believed th!>t.if ; the elections occurred the vote was certain to be against reciprocity.
