AN INTERESTING POINT.

(Per Press Asociatsion.) Auckland, June 27. An interesting point was raised in a case that came before Mr. Kettle, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court today. A. P. Miller claimed the sum of 12s Gd from J. E. Mortimer, alleging that it was due for rent, the defendant having loft, without giving notice. Mortimer said that he had given notice to leave on a certain day, but stayed in for another; week. This the Magistrate hold to be an abandonment of notice, and gave judgment for the plaintiff for tho amount claimed, and 9s costs.
