ANGLICAN SYNOD.
(Per Press Association.) Dunedin, June 28. At a meeting of the Anglican Synod to-night a motion “that it is in the best ‘interests of the ■coimmifiiky as a whole that the tofcalisator be abolished,” was lost on thel voices. A motion was also passed urging tlib Government to give effect to the New Zealand University Senate motion in favour of the establishment of a Faculty of Theology and conferring degrees in divinity.
