THE TAKAPUNA.

(Per Press Association.) Wellington, June 27. The steamer Takapuna, which was disabled at Westport last week, left that port in tow of the Komata at 10.18 a.in. yesterday, was berthed at Clyde Quay wharf at 2 o’clock this afternoon. The journey was accomplished in good time, fine weather being experienced. The Takapuna’s rudder is lashed to the ship, but the extent of the damage is not known. She will shortly go on the clip for examination.
