In connection with the maritime strike, the Allan, the Anchor, and the Donaldson lines have paid the increase demanded, and have recognised the union. There arc still ton thousand strikers at Hull. Mr Havelock Wilson, secretary of tho Seamen’s Union, alleges that there is indignation on tho part of members of the Union at tho action of the Admiralty in chartering several ships manned with Lascar crews for conveying guests to the review at Portsmouth.
