MARITIME STRIKE.
INCREASES PAID. By Electric Telegraph—Copyright United Press Association. London, Juno 25. In connection with the maritime strike, the Allan, the Anchor, and the Donaldson lines have paid the increase demanded, and have recognised the union. There arc still ton thousand strikers at Hull. (Received 26, 9.10 a.m.) London, June 25. Mr Havelock Wilson, secretary of tho Seamen’s Union, alleges that there is indignation on tho part of members of the Union at tho action of the Admiralty in chartering several ships manned with Lascar crews for conveying guests to the review at Portsmouth. Two Australian parliamentarians informed the Sailors’ Union that if the ships wore manned by coolie crews they would not go aboard. (Received 26, 9.40 a.m.) Amsterdam, June 25.
