Railway coinmuiucation is badly interrupted. Healosvillo is partly submerged, and several residents have vacated their houses. At Cora Lynn a resident took Ids noise and some cows into the house to save them from drowning. Another man shared In's dwelling tor several days with thirty pigs. At Maldon a tramp camped on the l ank of a creek is missing. His effects were found covered with mud. At Warhurton tiie river is over a mile wide, and a variety of property is floating down it. • Further rains arc reported in various parte of the State, and the riyei's continue to rise.
At Too, coffin bearers at a funeral walked in water above their waists to the hoarse. The hearse became (logged, and as they were unable to exilocate it another vehicle was obtained.
