Things were kept going merrily till 2 o’clock this morning, the big total of twentyeight dances being gone through. A special word of praise is due to the ladies, ■who did a great deal of work in canvassing for and collecting refreshments and in connection with tlie hull. Altogether the whole function was highly successful and enjoyable, and with .the Government subsidy, the fund for the infectious diseases ward will benefit considerable.
