The Imperial Conference brictly ‘discussed tho Commonwealth’s resolution recoin mending uniform coin reform. Sir J. ( t . ward stated that personally he favoured tho recognition of sovereigns and dollars. Ho suggested the commission should consider the possibility of a uniform system. Mr. Pearce declared that Australians favoured the decimal system. Mr. Lloyd-Georgo said the metric system would seriously disorganise commerce, especially the cotton trade, i lio double system of sovereigns and dollars would cause serious confusion; He did not care to undertake the responsibility of such a revolutionary change. The subject was dropped on Mr. Graaf’s resolution.
