An influential deputation waited on the Minister of Internal Affairs (Hon. D. Buddo) this afternoon, headed b tbo Anglican Bishop of Auck’aad (Dr Crossley), to make representations in support of lie commutation of the death sentence under which lain Kaka is now lying in Mount Eden Gaol. Mr A. Myers, M.P., in introducing the deputation, expressed tho opinion that there were especial circumstances which would justify Calngot in reconsidering its decision.
