LETTERS FROM CAPTAIN AMUNDSEN.

Everything is well thought out and worked out, so I have the best hopes for success. “I intend to land with nine of the others. Tho Fram will then go into the Atlantic to carry out oceanographic observations. . In 1912 she will return to fetch us. We shall then touch at New Zealand to telegraph, continuing from there to San Francisco. Kindly convey to tho other memboi s of tho committee my greetings and my apologies for haviing acted independently of them. “We have food enough for tuo years and work enough to look forward to. I send you my last greeting and warm thanks for all that you have done for me. 1 will do all in. my po>ver not to shame you.
