FURTHER REMARKS BY SIR JOSEPH WARD. (Received 23, 8.5 a.m.) .London, May 25. Sir Joseph Ward, speaking at the colonial banquet, referring to NonZealand’s universal military training, paid a tribute to Lord Kitchenci > without whose assistance and influence that scheme would never have been possible.. He hoped by and they would have the inexpressible pleasure of again receiving Lord Kitchener in Now Zealand. (Cheers.) Whatever contribution New Zealand gave in snpna-t of the Empire as a whole towards the navy, would not be governed by limited resources, but the ,great majority’s belief in the principle of One 'ElilpivW One Navy, owned by tlie whole Empire for the protection of all.
