Many quarrels ensued, and yesterday, the man fired thrice with a revolver at his wife, who was taken to tho hospital. Kurtz barricaded the doors of his house, .threw petroleum on the furniture, hud then sele fire to it. He harangued a crowd from the balcony, and ended' by shooting himself in public as tho house was being ■ enveloped in flames.
