THE DAVIS CUP. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last .Night. At a meeting of the management committee of the Now Zealand Lawn Tennis Association to-night, a letter was received from the Australian Dawn, Tennis Association asking that a playe lie recommended where the. Davis Car Is to be played. ' ' ! ‘ ; ' : “ The committee decided to call it i special meeting of the council for June 27 ( at which the New Zealand ‘ Association will be consulted upon' the master. The associations in the four chief centres are being written to for information as to the suitability of each place.! -The- Australian Association asks , for. a ‘match court and two separate practice courts for competing teams to practise on, and enquires the estimated cost of stands to hold 5000 people and the cost of preparation and rental of. grounds! j Dr. W. V. Eaves was appointed Now Zealand delegate to the All England Lawn Tennis Association.
