London, Al.iy 22. The Times’ Ottawa correspondent reports that Canadians believe the Imperial Conference will settle the question of a State-owned cable between Canada and the Mother Land. Sir Wilfrid Lourier, with the co-operation of Australia and New Zealand, who j are 'interested equally with Canada, are expected to bring the matter to a successful conclusion. The ownership •of all leading cables passing to foreign control must make a strong additional reason for that course being followed.
