DISPUTE AT KAIAPOI WOOLLEN MILLS

DECISION OF COMMITTEE RESERVED (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 23. The decision of the committee set up to investigate the Kaiapoi woollen mills dispute was reserved after a sitting lasting all today. The parties could not agree, and it was left to the chairman, Mr A. B. Rigg, the Conciliation Commissioner, to give the finding, which will be binding on both Mr Rigg said this evening that it would be a day or two before his decision would be announced. The 41 two-loom weavers whose piece rates form the basis of the disput returned to work today after a stoppage lasting a week.
