FERRET ATTACKS INFANT
BADLY BITTEN ABOUT FACE AND HANDS
Suffering from the effects of an attack by a ferret, an infant 11 months old was last week admitted to the Southland Hospital for treatment. She was brought from Waikawa. No details of the attack on the infant have been made available. There are scratches on her face and arms. Her right ear is missing, the marks showing that it had been chewed completely away. 'Hie infant has responded well to hospital treatment, and yesterday she was reported to be making good progress.
