Monetary should appreciate 8.7 in the Publicans’ Handicap after the weights he carried prior to his spell. He won at Riverton with 9.1 and was second with 9.6. In his other two starts last season at Trentham he carried 9.11 and at Riccarton 9.2 At the Grand National meeting he had 9.6. Monetary likes the going soft.
