Total Value Is £66,505 For Two Months (P.A.) WELLINGTON, December 16. In the two months ended November 30 patriotic goods sent overseas by the National Patriotic Fund Board comprised 15,748 cases of a total value of £66,505. The goods, which went to Britain, the Middle East, India, Fiji, the Royal New Zealand Air Force No. 1 Island Group, to other points in the Pacific and the New Zealand hospital ship comprised woollen comforts, sports gear, sheepskin jackets, gift parcels, fruit, cigarettes, tobacco, musical instrument, radios, confectionery and cinema equipment. Payments made by the board in the two months on behalf of New Zealand servicemen aggregated £271,897, including £68,517 for troops overseas, £8125 for the expending agents and £44,480 for the sick and wounded and prisoners of war.
