HOCKEY Gore High Beats Columba Playing at Gore yesterday, a Gore High School hockey team beat the Columba College (Dunedin) A team by one goal to nil. It was a creditable victory for the Gore team, as Columba College was the winner of the A2 shield at Dunedin. Gore High School had the measure of their opponents for most of the game. The goal was scored by Rona Thompson. INVERCARGILL LADIES’ GOLF CLUB An L.G.U. medal match was played by members of the Invercargill Ladies’ Golf Club at Queen’s Park on Thursday.
