ROY OF 10 COMMITS SUICIDE

(Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, September 29. A verdict of suicide while the balance of his mind was deranged was recorded after an inquest into the death of a boy, aged 10, at Farnborough, Hampshire. The Coroner said it was the first time in his experience that a child so young had committed suicide. It was stated that the boy, after writing a farewell note, shot himself with a Home Guard revolver and must have forced a locked drawer to obtain ammunition. The boy’s father said that his son might have read reports of the suicide of a 14 years-old boy.
