CHILDREN’S COURT.—A youth of 17 years appeared before Mr R. C. Abernethy, S.M., in the Children’s Court yesterday, charged with the theft of £3 from his employers. DetectiveSergeant J. Hill, who prosecuted, said the accused had had access to the strong room and had stolen the money from there. When accosted he had been quite frank about the matter. The Magistrate placed the accused under the supervision of the Child Welfare Officer for 12 months.
