BELGIUM’S CONFIDENCE IN LASTING PEACE

(P.A.) WELLINGTON. August 4. The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser) has received from M. Pierlot, Prime Minister of Belgium, a message of appreciation for New Zealand’s congratulatory telegrams on Belgium’s national day. M. Pierlot says: “The people of Belgium are convinced that the impending victory, to which New Zealand will have contributed much, will make possible the establishment of lasting peace.”
