Donations Made By Companies ' A cheque for £2OO was received by the treasurer of the Southland Provincial Patriotic Council, Mr W. F. Sturman, on Monday from the Union Steam Ship Company as a donation to the patriotic funds. The company is making a donation ‘of £2500 to patriotic funds throughout the Dominion and the money received on Monday was Southland’s share of that amount. A donation of £75 has been received from the National Mortgage and Agency Company, Ltd., being Southland’s portion of the company’s donation of £5OO for the Dominion. Donations of £2O from Ernest Adams Ltd. and £2O from the Otago Farmers’ Union Mutual Fire Insurance Association have also been received.
