ROLL OF HONOUR ESSAY COMPETITION
The 1944 Waihopai-Park school Roll of Honour essay competition, which is open to pupils of the Waihopai school, was won by Jean Russell. Donald Malloch was second and Jane Malloch third. Stewart Noble, Eileen Gerraghty, Ripa Johnstone, Noeline Holloway, Jocelyn King, Alan Imlay and Morris Ereckson were all highly commended. The subject of the competition this year was “The Ideal Warrior.”
