MATAURA STOCK SALE

The yarding at the Mataura stock sale last week consisted mostly of ewe lambs, which realized prices up to 30/-. Lines of medium quality made from 22/6 to 24/9, poorer sorts being disposed of at down to 14/2. A small entry of two-tooth ewes was sold at up to 43/-, the vendor being Mr W. L. Scott (Mataura). Good mediums found buyers at from 34/9 to 35/9, most of the. other sheep selling at 28/-. Lighter weights were quitted at down to 22/-. Sound-mouth ewes were in demand and brought from 17/7 to 27/-, and full and failing-mouth ewes realized prices on a par with late rates.
