NEW APPOINTMENT EXPECTED
Australian Commissioner In Canada CANBERRA, April 8. The appointment of the Australian Minister for the Navy and Munitions, Mr N. J. O.'Makin, to a diplomatic post in Canada is expected to be announced shortly. He is likely to replace the present Commonwealth High Commissioner in Canada, Sir William Glasgow, who is returning to Australia. The Canadian post is regarded as one of increasing importance ,to Australia because of the mutual aid part completed recently. Mr Makin has been a member of the War Cabinet since the first Curtin Government was formed in October 1941.
